The North Memorial Health Advantage

  • We are a hospital of firsts: We’re not only the first hospital in Minnesota to receive full Heart Failure Accreditation from the American College of Cardiology for excellence in the care and management of heart failure.
  • We’re also the first and only hospital in Minnesota (8th nationwide) to earn Chest Pain Center (CPC) with Primary PCI accreditation. We’re the only hospital to have both accreditations.
  • We have one of the fastest response times in the nation when it comes to treating a heart attack: In 2022, our door-to-balloon time was 54 minutes, as compared to a national goal of 90 minutes.
  • We’re also great at long-term care: We combine our diagnostic, rehabilitative, and comprehensive care programs with personalized education within our clinics. You leave with the tools, empowerment, and support you need for lasting success.
  • We create custom care plans: Because vein conditions can arise from systemic cardiovascular issues, board-certified cardiologists perform vein procedures at North Memorial Health. Our cardiologists know that it’s important to evaluate your entire cardiovascular system to determine the best treatment options for you.

Heart Disease Prevention

CT Calcium Scoring

Each year, the number one cause of death in the United States is coronary artery disease. There are no symptoms or prior heart problems in many of these cases. Numerous risk factors exist for heart disease, including cholesterol level, blood pressure, smoking, and family history.

However, research increasingly suggests that there is a direct link between the amount of calcium buildup in your arteries and the likelihood of a heart attack or stroke.

Schedule an Exam

CT Calcium Scoring uses high-resolution CT scanning technology to detect and highlight calcification. It is a simple, noninvasive test that can identify early heart disease. Call us at 763-581-9282 to schedule a CT Calcium Scoring exam.

One of the best and most thorough doctors I have ever had. Answers all questions. Listens carefully. Goes beyond simple par of the fix (a prescription refill) to talk about details of diet. I cannot say enough.
